Frequently asked questions
Every answer in one place: booking and payment, TVs, websites, ordering, support plans, and who we are.
Booking & payment
How do I book?
Use the booking form at nanotuned.com/book.html or email tune@nanotuned.com. Existing customers email support@nanotuned.com. There is no phone number.
What should I include in a booking request?
Your name, email, and the plan you want. Phone is optional. For a TV, add the device type and the number of screens. For a website, add the URL. Say whether you want an in-person visit or remote help, and a preferred time. For an in-person visit, add an address or ZIP.
What happens after I book?
1. Pick a plan, or say Not sure. 2. I reply by email to set a time. 3. A visit in person or a remote tune-up.
How do I pay?
There is no online checkout on the site yet. After you book, payment is arranged by email.
Which email should I use?
New customers: tune@nanotuned.com. Existing customers: support@nanotuned.com. There is no phone number.
Is there a phone number?
No. Nano Tuned works by email and the booking and contact forms. The phone field on the booking form is optional.
When are jobs quoted instead of using the listed prices?
Bigger or unusual jobs are quoted before any work starts. Hardware, new devices, and full re-setups are quoted separately.
Are these prices permanent?
They are the published launch prices. No end date is published. See the pricing page for every plan.
TV & devices
Will this work on my TV?
Almost always, yes. Fire TV and Google TV devices allow a deep tune-up, including a custom home screen. Roku, Samsung, LG, Vizio, and Apple TV do not allow a custom home screen, so we work with the settings they allow: picture, apps, privacy, parental controls, captions, and big text. Or we add a stick. Newer Fire TV Sticks on Vega OS also cannot take a custom home screen. We do not modify a game console. Find your TV here.
What is included in a TV Tune-Up?
For each TV or stick: debloat and startup apps, a custom launcher and home row, picture settings, up to 3 app logins, and a quick walkthrough. In person is $49. Remote is $29.
What is included in a Business Display?
Business Display is $149 for the first screen and $49 for each extra screen. It includes a kiosk or menu display page, auto-boot to the display, a custom intro animation, staff-proof lockdown, and 30-day fix support.
Did the Fire TV tune-up make apps launch faster?
No. On a Fire TV Stick 4K measured on the device via adb on Oct 19, 2026, free RAM went from 137 MB to 258 MB and free storage went from 1.8 GB to 1.9 GB. Cold launch times for Plex and YouTube did not change. The difference was within measurement noise.
What else changed on that Fire TV Stick 4K?
Amazon Photos, the game hub, and the shopping app were removed. UI animations were set to 0.5x. Ad tracking was turned off. That device also has a Tesla Roadster startup animation that then opens Plex, a top-right TSLA / SpaceX stock-ticker overlay, and an ambient dashboard with clock, weather, and tickers, which runs when launched.
